Step one – Karakia (Create a Prayer… an intention… a purpose…) as you enter the Ngahere (Forest) in your own way…Maybe to the Creator / Source / Great Spirit (Whatever concept and belief you personally have)… and maybe also to Tane Mahuta, the over-seeing Atua/ Guardian Spirit of the Forest.
