The Witches’ Pyramid

Also known as the Four Pillars of the Witches’ Temple or the Four Powers of the Magician, the Witches’ Pyramid is the foundation for all magical work and represents the mindset necessary to create magic. There are four statements that represent The Witches Pyramid: To Know, To Will, To Dare, To Keep Silent.

To Know (East, Air)

One must have an understanding of the Craft, including the creation and practice of ritual, spellwork, correspondences, psychic abilities, divination, etc. The more one knows and learns, the more powerful and effective magic will be.

Association:  reason – intellect – intuition – wisdom – psychic awareness – abilities – rationalising – analysing – imagining – skills and knowledge in the art of magic.

To Will (South, Fire)

One’s will determines their ability to raise and control mana. Focus and conviction leads to manifestation, and these come from following one’s true will.

Association:  true will – belief system – discipline –  application of magical skills – approach to life – approach to magic.

To Dare (West, Water)

Opening to the Black Heart of Innocence requires daring – transcending fear and perceived barriers to be open to the mana of the universe, and overcome challenges.

Association:  emotions – heart – drive to overcome – courage – doing.

To Keep Silent (North, Earth)

The power of keeping your own counsel and not sharing with others whose Wills may work against you. The fallow period before growth and transformation can occur. Silencing Talker so that Fetch may communicate with Godself..

Association:  inner calm – silent knowing – protecting sacred knowledge.
